COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is an introductory course designed to help students develop an understanding and awareness of the essentials of managing and of the way organizations behave. By exploring the four pillars of management: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, students will discover how organizations leverage their scarce resources to achieve their goals. The objective of this course is to provide students an overview of the field of management, and insights into the concept of organizational structure. This task will be accomplished by introducing participants to the history, lexicon, and practices of management as a field of study, and its present position in terms of both theory, practice, and the standing as a profession. This process will entail the use of such pedagogical tools as: case incidents, research, interactive exercises, current thinking, literature review, and relevant examinations.
STAFF AND PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course focuses on staff and personnel management. They will examine human behavior affects staff and personnel management in an organization. Particular emphasis will be placed on planning, organizing, delegating and managing personnel efficiently. This course presents the student with theory, research, and practical implementation in the concepts related to personnel and performance appraisals. As a future employee and/or employer, this gives the student the knowledge and the practice of working with and understanding organizational issues related to both personnel and performance management. This course is essential to understanding and working in and for organizations, as personnel and performance management are cornerstone issues that directly relate to the performance/functionality of the organization.
ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT SYLLABUS
This course is designed to introduce students to the concept of entrepreneurship. Students will acquire the knowledge of the
nature and scope of entrepreneurship, and understand the impact of entrepreneurship on market economies. Students will
examine and develop the personal traits and behaviors fundamental to becoming a successful entrepreneur, and will be exposed
to the first steps of the entrepreneurial process including the development of business plans. In addition, students will develop
an understanding of economic concepts and the marketing functions.

Clarification of Filipino Values in the Context of Global & Asian Realities There is always a possibility to be confused of what to value in the world today. We, as Filipinos, are exposed to different races and valuing system. We need to consider that each of us come from different orientation. Hence, the need to clarify these values and the definition in the context of global and Asian realities. This course will present clarification process, the Filipino values, and the significance of these in our daily lives. In this course, the learners will be taught on how to develop his own values through the process of self-realization after the exploration of the different thoughts, values and philosophies of men globally.
VINCENTIAN SPIRITUALITY AND LEADERSHIP
COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this course students will delve into the rich Vincentian traditions by learning and briefly examining the life and the style of leadership of Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac and other Vincentian Saints and Blessed. This examination takes into account their historical context and cultural milieu that influenced them. It also includes their, vocation and conversion moments, religious experience and spiritual practices, transformative leadership approaches engaged to respond to the signs and challenges of the times and their enduring legacy At the end of the course the students, with the “Christian and Vincentian values” will impel their conscience to put into action what they have learned for the love of God and in solidarity with those who are abandoned, marginalized, oppressed, powerless and most in need. Characteristics and qualities of Vincentian leaders will be developed in the students to spread the goodness and create a difference in their workplace. As Vincentian leaders and member of Vincentian Family, students are made to assess their own self as a leader in the midst of the realities of the poor today and the challenge of the church to be the church of the Poor and make a difference in the kind of leadership the present societies have. Likewise, discovering new ways in applying integral leadership, a holistic way of seeing the situation or persons the ways Jesus did.

matter, students are expected to integrate and apply their prior learning to strategic decision making in organizations. The

The subject Method of Instruction in Filipino will discuss the methods, approaches, and strategies in teaching Filipino both in elementary and secondary levels to produce quality students. It will also include theories and principles in teaching the subject. The subject will use both English and Filipino as medium of instruction since some students are not teaching Filipino in the elementary or secondary.
